Daifuku Logan Awarded Extension Work Contract For Marseille Provence Airport Terminal 2

Paris, August 19, 2019.  Daifuku Airport Technologies (ATec) manufacturer and integrator of baggage handling systems recently signed the contract for the extension work of the baggage control room of terminal 2 at Marseille Provence airport.

With 9.4 million passengers, Marseille-Provence airport (AMP) recorded a new traffic record in 2018.

From the perspective of growth and development of low-cost carrier traffic activity, Marseille Provence airport has undertaken major infrastructure modernization and extension projects.

It is in this context that Daifuku ATec will initially install the Baggage Handling System (BHS) to replace the existing system.

Our solution has been judged by Marseille Provence Airport as being technically and financially the most interesting: it will incorporate new standard 3 machines and will allow the airport to increase its reception capacity.

Daifuku ATec had already been entrusted with the project to replace the four baggage delivery carousels at Hall 4 in 2017.
